The American Southwest is host to many ancient Native American UFO myths.
The pictures above are from Mesa Verde ~ abandoned by the mysterious Anasazi. The construction indicates long term occupation, but is hard to notice from outside. It seems evident that whoever lived here wanted their presence defendable and secret. New Age researchers speculate that they were related to the Inca, Mayans or Atlanteans. The word "Anasazi" is actually Navajo in origin ~ roughly meaning "Ancient Aliens." Were the Anasazi a wandering tribe, not native to that part of ancient America, possibly even the ancestors of the Aztecs, who appeared in Mexico around 1200 AD? A group of Chinese explorers is known to have ventured East into the American continent (others venturing north ~ and south, into Aztec Mexico, and Inca Central and South America). Could they have encountered, or been themselves, the decendants of these Asian adventurers? | ||||

near Chaco and Spruce Canyons in southwestern Colorado ~ that, according to one Hopi elder, speaks of a migration. This is very much in contrast to other sites in the area, whose abandonment is officially attributed to warfare through the discovery of mass graves and weapons. Mesa Verde was a peaceful farming community ~ complete with water, trees and wild animals. Perhaps merely the threat of war was enough for the entire tribe to move south to Mexico. forever abandoning what some have called "the most stunning scenery on Earth." | |||
