well, that's actually not so imaginary as it may sound
you take 10,000 and divide by 10 - you get 1000 - easy
you take 10,000 and divide by 1000 - you get 10 - easy
so
say i have 10 Grand i wanna split up 10 ways
each gleeful recipient gathers 1000 barnacles
but
if i have 10 Grand i hafta split up 1000 ways
each curious onlooker hasta peel 10 bananas
hmm - sounds like a class action suit
so
the bigger the number you Divide by, the smaller yer answer
n the smaller the number you Divide by, the bigger yer answer
it's Division
beautiful thing, innit ?
Division n Multiplication are opposite sides of the same coin
we'll call this coin Relationships - it's all about proportions
"how many 10s in 10,000" or "how many 1000s in 10,000" - like that
but
the real fun stuff happens when ye turn it around on itself
and ask, "how many 10,000s in 1000" or "how many 1000s in 10"
n the answers are "one tenth, or .1" and "one hundredth or .01"

..... so, basically .....
the larger the number is you Divide BY
that is, the more equal sections you cut Something INTO
the more little pieces parts ye have floatin n flyin around out there
say
you wanna activate n demonstrate a simple fraction like 2/3
you have TWO apples you wanna divide up into THREE equal parts
well, at the end of it all
each equal portion is TWO Thirds the size of a single apple
one of em is actually TWO equal parts, ONE Third each
each the stray missing piece, from the other TWO
silly TWO
but
in the real world
you can't divide physical objects 
by a Lesser number than what you start with
- because you would end up with more -
no one has yet invented the knife that would allow you to do that
slice up apples so you end up with more delicious fruit than you started with

most people would just not do anything
if i Divide ONE by TWO though, i get HALF

is to Divide by the opposite number of what ye wanted to Multiply in the foist place
we saw that in the above n aforementioned ONE vs HALF is TWO scenario
so lets say i take "our" ONE n divide by a lesser n lesser number
i divide ONE by ONE Third - and I get THREE
i divide ONE by ONE Fourth - and I get FOUR
i divide ONE by ONE Fifth - and I get FIVE
i divide ONE by ONE Sixth - and I get SIX
we can do this all day
the number keeps gettin bigger
that�s the trick

so how do we get from ZERO to Infinity
without breaking a sweat, any pencils in HALF
or poor underpaid math teachers� necks in the process
well
ok, foist, let us say that Infinity is the opposite of Nothing
but this is perfect Infinity - yay, the greatest Infinity there is
the opposite of Nothing - and the opposite of Nothing is Everything
so we'll begin by saying that this is the Reciprocal of Nothing
or rather, that is, mathematically ... ONE divided by ZERO
follow?
but what if someone wanted to divide something else by ZERO
some other number entirely - say, for example, the number TWO
herein lies the problem that most calculators have problems with
Error, they say - or ZERO
as rational beings we cannot justify or accept this erroneous answer
that multiple numbers divided by the same value produce the same result
even if it is ZERO - or ONE, for that matter
anything minus itself equals ZERO - this is a basic law of nature, we can see
but math theorists will say that a set {1,2,3...} is equal "in size" to {2,4,6...}
as if, each has the same number of numbers?
i say this is hogwash, because we're dealing with counting
measuring from here to there, on a certain scale
that is, relative to something else
- basic Point A to Point B stuff -
counting presumes there is a Beginning and an End
(so we start at ZERO and end at ....... Infinity?)
n harshly presumptive for me as that all may seem
if there is an End, (indeterminate as it may be)
the former set is twice the size as the latter
but, science says there is no end to anything
well
that�s pretty happy optimistic - ending wise
n it keeps em in business - till next semester
so
Infinity should be dealt with as a theoretical concept
just place its status of existence on the shelf, as it were
after all, we are dealing with Absolutes - Everything and Nothing
who can really say what standards we should measure their Existence by
so we call both ZERO and legendary Infinity tentatively Imaginary, for now
in Theory
but on a graph, do we acquire the same result, though from a different approach?
whatever you Divide by a lesser and lesser number, the result is eventually astronomical

so
it is important to remember that as the Curve stretches out into the vast void
it never touches the Number Line, just gets microscopically closer to it
the moment it does touch, that one particular Coordinate equals ZERO
the Other Coordinate *must* equal Infinity
blasting off in an ever expanding lightshow

let me say that dividing by ZERO is a silly thing to do in the foist place
if John has eight apples and owes 50% of his earnings to Claude the Rainman
he must divide whatever he has by two - thus, each is only entitled to four
- now say he has dependents that require 75% of his net earnings to survive -
so he must multiply what he has left by .75 - n poor John only has ONE left !!!
(me, i'd divide by 4 n multiply that by 3)
(but then, i'm an armchair math-o-magician)
if, on the other hand, he must divide his portions by a lesser number
it's the same as multiplying by Greater and Greater numbers
like, say he's a Producer (as well as in Produce)
~ 50% to Miss X ~ 50% to Madam Y ~ 100% to Ms Z ~
that's an additional 200% he must pay out to various investors
he runs out of apples too soon, n ends up in jail too young
..... but wait, i get ahead of meself .....
let me say also that dividing by ONE is an equally silly thing to do with numbers
let's just look at ONE as the point where division cancels itself out
where it crosses the line into multiplication
we'll call ONE the dividing line
imagine it as a mirror
imagine ZERO as a mirror also
so between ZERO and ONE, we have Mirrorland
standing between these two mirrors we see infinite reflections
behind the one mirror (the ONE mirror) is the rest of Positive existence
this is a brightly lit realm of reality, evenly marked off, regularly spaced, elegant
behind the other mirror (the ZERO mirror) is all of Negative existence - dark n mysterious
so
anything we multiply by a fraction of ONE, "point something" 
- some doi decimal or fraction value - between ZERO and ONE -
will require that we imagine something outside this safe zone
something either Greater than ONE - or Less than ZERO

X * 1/2 = 1/2 X
X times ONE-HALF equals ONE-HALF X
- likewise -
X / .5 = 2X
X divided by ONE-HALF equals TWO X
let us say that one half of X is the opposite of two of X
cuz it is
but say
if someone walks up to John for no apparent reason
except to sever his one remaining apple in two parts
and takes one of them, he only has half an apple left
but
in the alternate parallel universe, where Spock has a beard
and everything is exactly opposite everything in our universe
someone woulda prolly walked up to him for no real good reason,
smiled, and at the end of it all he woulda had TWO apples, not ONE
but wait
let us imagine for a minute that the only numbers that "really exist"
are those that lie between ZERO and ONE - um, between Point A and Point B
(this would be any Point A and Point B you would care to apply it to though)
using the mirrors
you can now safely calculate the value, or say, the precise exact relationship
of any one number to any other, or any combination to any other (ad infinatum)
and Infinity would be the center parta either mirror - another reference point

ONE dimensional - basic (lines n rays) = Addition and Subtraction
TWO dimensional - relationships (graphs) = Multiplication and Division
THREE dimensional - abstract (reality, space, etc) = Power and Square Root
FOUR dimensional - absolutes, perfection (factor in Time) = ZERO and Infinity
so maybe
these basic concepts and/or planes of existence
relate to each other - so very politely
acknowledging each other's existence
as they go about their mutual business
i say

the increasingly theoretical ZERO on a divisor curve
from the point of origin, or perspective, of say, TWO
you have Twice the Infinity as you would, in some way
if you were to approach it from the perspective of ONE
(as far as it matters to what we're currently calculating)
so
i'm not sayin just cuz we decided to play with numbers a bit
that all of a sudden there's multiple Infinities floating out there somewhere
but, just for the sake of argument, let's say that such a decision has already been made
now
because we hafta bounce off both mirrors to do this,
i propose that TWO divided by ZERO equals Infinity Squared
and THREE divided by ZERO equals Infinity Cubed, and so on ...
now, granted, this is an abstract concept
but
assuming the Universe is Infinite, and that there are multiple Universes
it is therefore entirely possible to have a handfulla Infinities, if one so chooses
but, of course, as with all math in potential perpetual existence, this is just "on paper"
thus
hold up a ONE Dimensional mirror to Infinity itself
only ONE way to do this physically, if imaginatively
imagine a ray with ZERO thickness, but Infinite length
now imagine it's made of a perfectly reflective material
so does this 1D Reflection view "our" Universe as a reflection ? does a Negative, antimatter filled, Universe see us as "anti" ? maybe the question of Negative vs Positive is just in how they relate to each other therefore Powers and Square Roots, Multiplication and Division are just as Reciprocal as Addition and Subtraction thus Infinity vs ZERO - Everything vs Nothing it's all in yer inimitable perspective but wait does Nothing see Infinity as ZERO ? are we really that easy to ignore ? ok now - imagine a TWO Dimensional mirror - spanning the wide vastness of the Universe each mirror reflects a portion of the Universe that together equal a single Universal Reflection
so, um ~ no matter where you place the 2D mirror ~ (Half + Half) + (Half + Half) = TWO Universes but Universal Infinity having no limit by definition we cannot say that it is Half or any other fraction because that requires that we know the precise limits of the ever increasingly theoretical Integer in question in any case the Sum of the TWO Reflections is ... ONE additional Universe adding that to the ONE we started out with, gets us ... TWO total but wait that throws my silly theory of Infinity Squared right out the window no matter what we do, so far, we seem to get only TWO Universes - argh! *sigh* so now i'm gonna dare to propose that whatever you do to mess with Infinity yer gonna come up with ONE Infinity ..... Plus ..... the One you started with aha The Function becomes an Integer in the Equation huh? that's the problem with Infinities they're always gettin a big ol' ego thinkin they're the whole Universe etc but what about the Negative side of things ? now we hafta Subtract ONE whole Universe ? just when we thought we were on to something that's where the mirrors come in we tend to forget Infinity includes the Negative side o things too so maybe all we're doing is (pfft) contemplating the "essence n reality" of Infinity n the Universe when we try to apply Functions to it etc problem is i *want* TWO divided by ZERO to equal Infinity Squared it makes sense to me, in it's own inimitable funny little way when the Universe makes sense, i can relax - hey, i'm a math geek see i am lost by the seemingly impossible concept that essentially ONE equals TWO equals THREE equals FOUR equals ....... etc ??? when we talk about potential Numerators vs a ZERO Denominator - but maybe that's the whole thing of it - that ANY number is an integral part of the Universal Whole and therefore must be considered an Equal part of the Set a Universal Dream, if you will (anyone can aspire to greatness) the Set being Infinite in Nature any part of it includes the rest ? bah i'm trying to deal with real numbers here i mean, the curve *looks* like it's going further, faster but i guess it doesn't really matter when there is no definable limit but that's the thing we're talking about multiple "no definable limits" X times The Great Undefined but you can't solve for X unless you know what Y is and therein lies the trick X has no meaningful value because there is no wall to measure it against it doesn't matter what the Numerator is vs ZERO ZERO doesn't care - it's an absolute center point the absolute center of the Universe - no matter how you slice it up - Infinity isn't aware of ONE or TWO it has no concept of how to attack or even approach anything besides the Mighty ZERO itself (it's an exclusive Set - the Absolutes) arrogant ignorance or ignorant arrogance the concepts simply don't apply you put ONE before ZERO or TWO, or anything else and ZERO says, "ok, i can work with you" "i will communicate with you on your level" "but i'm not gonna talk to you about Infinity" poor ol' Infinity lonely at the top likely gets the same rhetoric about Integers stubborn ol ZERO - named after an epithet no such thing as an opposite? i wonder maybe Infinity really *is* the opposite of ZERO after all ... we can't go Dividing Infinity by ONE it doesn't seem to have any undeclared opposites we don't even know what Infinity *is* but on that note it doesn't really matter that we have no scale to measure it anything Divided by ONE, ye get what ye started with, eh? perhaps Infinity is "that which no scale can possibly measure" while ZERO is "that which no scale is *needed* measure it" anyways maybe it's better to say that we can't go Reciprocating Infinity or for that matter, any Absolutes out there, namely ZERO n ol' side-8 but still ZERO *is* the Grand ol' celebrated Opposite of Infinity i can prove it (watch my hands, now) ..... see? Everything, Nothing, Everything, Nothing can't talk about one without the other being inversely relevant opposites attract ..... but wait ..... lemme rephrase that - "can't talk about ONE without the other being inversely relevant" - hmm ..... let's call Infinity *ONE* (just for now, n the sake of argument) pretend that ONE is the official limit to all existence n further consideration (and likewise, that Negative "ONE" is the official limit - in the Other direction) so here we have the entire otherwise incalculable Universe subscribed down to a total value of TWO (there's that pesky TWO again) n ZERO's in the center let the games begin ok so *now* what do we do? well foist Square the Reciprocal of the Integer in question um, just kidding ok but wait what if we Squared TWO? hey now we're getting somewhere TWO Squared is FOUR but wait that's still just TWO total Universes the entire span of known existence = 2 (FOUR, our winner, is only Twice TWO) well we can keep Squaring that, ad Infinatum, and thus define our own nature of Infinity and the original TWO relating to the second pair cancel each other out - if we're so inclined bringing us eventually back to ZERO all we wanna ok skip that that's redundant n a bit annoying how bout this y'know how i like to throw around grand terms like "Anything" ? "Anything Divided by ONE" n "Anything Divided by Nothing" well, "Anything" is something to be considered, innit? coitny now we have a grand ol' Trinity welcome to the club of Absolutes, dear ol' Anything ~ Infinity n ZERO were gettin kinda bored with each other ~ (but before ye get carried away, "Nothing" always equals ZERO) so stop me if ye hoid this i'm goin out on a limb here Anything: that Inimitable Other second only to ZERO, but not Infinity cuz Anything ... being variable by nature (n in all estimation, any definable definition) can dress up as Infinity whenever it feels like it so, hmm, it can even dress up to be ZERO sometimes too i guess n if ye can do that, ye can do Anything maybe the Almighty Anything is better, then wow cool neat toy so let's say, for instance, that Anything is ZERO - - - ZERO - - times ZERO - - equals ZERO - - - hmm, acts just like ONE in that there ONE, eh ? but is that the only ONE it acts like ONE in ? ~( hmm, the nature of The ONE, that IS )~ but * we tricked ZERO into performing a Function * like i said neat toy Maybe we can treat Infinity like ONE someday - whaddya say ? Maybe we can do alotta things - it's an Infinite Universe but still * we tricked ZERO into performing a Function * that is ..... Something other than Nothing or converting all it touches into Nothing well, we tricked ZERO into doing Something like i said neat toy maybe Something has a future in this crowd we'll bring it up at the next "bored" meeting ok so now how bout Infinity there's only ONE Infinity so to speak per se n no matter what we did before the best "we" were able to come up with was Infinity ... Plus Infinity ... Minus Infinity how is it that i feel trapped in an Infinite Universe ? well cuz i am n you right with me but that's happenin to all of us so i'll quit bitchin point is see we forgot to continue on with our mirrors we had good luck with em so far up to a certain point anyways hmm lessee now next on the list 3D [ take a cube ] heh - now we're talkin here we go ok, imagine a cube made of mirrors size and perfection are irrelevant (cuz, yes, all will be assimilated) long as it's at least "cube like" facing in 6 separate directions
but they never face each other - just out into the Infinite Universe gathering reflections of Infinity, for Infinity to reflect back upon ok - now - inside the cube that portion of infinity is bein reflected six times, each of those mirrors reflecting portions of the other five (with complimentary portions being taken up by opposite sides) plus a perfect vision of itself in the opposite ONE, across from it ok wait, take a breath - let it all sink in for a bit this number is being multiplied multiple times as these reflections perpetuate but it has a finite end, a critical limit - a number which is yet to be determined n the only number we have that is completely undeterminable ... is ... Infinity !!!!! so has anyone grasped yet the implications of such a phenomenon? =o] we have successfully Squared Infinity [o= ta da not bad, eh ? took a cube to do it but wait - we're not done the outside mirror sides - facing outside the cube ? they are each reflecting a portion of Infinity too each complimentary pair has within its vision (for all intents n purposes presented here) the Sum total of a whole entire Infinity n then there's TWO more just like it but wait that's not the entirety of Infinity they're figurin - we forgot about the dern blasted Infinity Squared inside - which didn't have a proper Infinity to begin with in the first place but wait ~ it doesn't matter how microscopically small, or how big the cube is ~ yer still Dividing up Infinity when ye hafta have an inside n outside hmm so lets keep the 3D shape - that was good just lose the volume - that kinda sucked so three mirrors - in right angle proportions just like a cube - but more like a cross each owns ONE Dimension of the XYZ axis and each has a right angle view of the other two so each thinks of itself as the horizon n they�re all right for all intents n purposes from their own customized perspective but they can�t see themselves in any mirror this is looking pretty derned promising closest to perfect we been so far
so how do we figure this out? um foist each 2D mirror of ZERO thickness n Infinite expanse otherwise contains within each surface a perfect reflection of (we�ll say HALF) ... HALF of Universal Infinity TWO of those gets us ONE additional Infinity each so that�s THREE Infinities Plus the ONE we started with but wait there�s more each of those mirrors is reflecting the other TWO hmm so now - at the end of it all - that�s THREE Times THREE Infinities total n yes, still Plus the ONE we started with that makes 10 Infinities out of just ONE just from positioning mirrors correctly ok now what are we gonna do with all that room ? n besides how do we express this mathematically well it won�t work in the "real world" with say, Something like money - even apples are right out - but ONE divided by ZERO still must equal Infinity TWO divided by ZERO still must equal Something else Infinity - it would be nice n neat - if the Numerator applied to the Exponent n a negative Numerator applied to the Square Root - yes, that would be neat - the Universe has turned out to be that simple n elegant in the past n Absolutes like ZERO and Infinity should not be complicated at all i can imagine them maybe doing things we might not be accustomed to or expect but certainly Something, whatever it is, that can be easily explained - but since we�re not designed to comprehend such Absolute concepts - we�re gonna hafta go in the back door - or find some other way around hmm i would like to propose that this is the way that it is mainly, cuz this is the way i want it to be it would make my life simpler but right now ? my unenviable life is being made difficult ~ by not having any proof ~ yet foist let�s examine the curve they each take ONE and TWO Divided by lesser and lesser numbers each of em Divided by ONE produce themselves, if redundantly ONE Divided by HALF is TWO TWO Divided by HALF is FOUR - meanwhile - ONE Divided by .25 is FOUR TWO Divided by .25 is EIGHT - elsewhere - ONE Divided by .1 is TEN TWO Divided by .1 is TWENTY so seems like no matter what we try n throw at em TWO leads ONE ..... um, so far ..... TWO to ONE thus it should be simple by the time we get to Infinity - whatever *that* is - TWO should outpace ONE (um) TWO to ONE quick check THREE Divided by HALF is SIX THREE Divided by .25 is TWELVE THREE Divided by .1 is THIRTY ok, and FOUR Divided by HALF is EIGHT FOUR Divided by .25 is SIXTEEN FOUR Divided by .1 is FORTY so it seems like the Numerator becomes the Multiplier not the Exponent, or the Root - or anything else fancy hmm - ok ONE divided by ZERO equals infinity TWO divided by ZERO equals TWO infinities THREE divided by ZERO equals THREE infinities ....... and so on, and so on, and so on ....... so, um how do we get Infinity Squared? i mean, that�s so cool a concept maybe there just isn�t the math for it, for us i mean, what does a number line know of a graph? or a flatland graph possibly comprehend of our world? maybe in the next life, it�ll seem so painfully obvious but for now, i�ll jus sit n dream n try to not feel so silly
